Job Description 

Reporting to the DC Manager of the Essentra Components warehouse facility, the role of Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the successful and timely shipping & receiving of product from both internal & external vendor customers, and inventory control. Primary focus is on the maintaining extremely high levels of service and quality in all tasks performed by self & team, whilst always operating in a safe and secure manner.



Typical Accountabilities



  • Coordinate all aspects of the outbound & inbound operations
  • Work with DC Manager and fellow Supervisors, as part of the wider Management team, to create & maintain an effective, safe, and enjoyable work environment for all employees
  • Establish a ‘safety first’ culture to all warehouse activities, whether within own function or others
  • Maintain a continued focus on improving on-time in full dispatch (OTIF %) of orders to all customers
  • Contribute to a site-wide focus on quality, with particular focus on order accuracy, product packaging & documentation, and overall presentation to customer 
  • Maintain a timely receipt of inbound product according to process insuring packing slip accuracy and inventory is appropriately identified 
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and processes are followed 
  • Ensure required cycle counting and resolution of inventory discrepancies 
  • Research and resolve customer complaints
  • Actively drive the training & development of team members to create a multi-skilled team capable of supporting each other in completing all functional tasks
  • Conduct regular reviews with all team members focused on performance objectives and also personal development. Where appropriate establish individual development plans with team
  • Liaise with Sales/CSRs across AMERS region to ensure Customer needs are continually met. Work closely on new and/or major customer accounts where additional requirements are needed
  • Proactively Identify and implement functional improvements - process, system and data - in line with the Company’s objectives
  • Represent the Company in a professional & appropriate manner in all situations
  • Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality service and resolve any issues with vendors
  • Ensure payroll timesheet accuracy for team members being supervised
  • Communicate any company changes and policies to team members
  • Ensure that all of HSE and company guidelines & laws are followed
  • Monitor employee morale and issues impacting the workforce.
  • Provide backup support to DC Manager
  • Perform related job duties as assigned.



Qualifications:


  • Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to manage multiple associates and multiple departments concurrently
  • Material handling equipment experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of ERP software beneficial and experience using MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to take ownership of change actions - ensure everyone is fully engaged, the overall pace of change is set to achieve targets and manage any uncertainty and/or issues that arise during the process.
  • Basic math skills
  • Willingness to work some overtime as needed
